GET IN THE GAME SEMINARS

"Get in the Game"
SRU Will Take You to the Next Level

Student-athletes ask yourself:
Are you visible?
Are you eligible?
Are you able?

Recruiting Facts

  1. Just because you’re getting calls from colleges does not mean you are one of their top recruits. Ask the coach directly, “Are you offering an official paid visit and will you be making a home visit?” Their answers will signal their true interest in you.

  2. 83% of all collegiate opportunities are NOT at the Division I level.

  3. The key is to get off the “name game” like USC and UCLA - and consider attending colleges in locations.

  4. It is vital you become familiar with the rules, procedures, opportunities and financial aid available in each school you are interested in.

  5. Some student-athletes (the so-called "blue chip") receive more exposure and are listed in hundreds of college recruiting pools. It is difficult to understand a coach's evaluation process that offers some student-athletes scholarships, while others who appear to have equal ability, do not receive offers.
